When you walk into Cocoon, you immediately get the sense you're going stumble upon that perfect something for your loved ones (or that thing you absolutely need that you didn't even know you needed). Huguenot Street is the heart of New Paltz and full of historic homes - some dating back to the 1600s. It contains over 30 buildings including the stone-built DuBois Fort, where you'll also find the innovative Huguenot Street Museum and Shop. With the feel of a boutique or antique home, the time inside flies when you're gazing through unique local interest and artisan gifts, from fine art and jewelry to books and educational toys. We really love the map-making kit for kids, but you never know what you're going to find in this special place! Proceeds go towards the preservation of historic buildings and artifacts.

As a humane and sustainable family-run farm, we see a kindred spirit in Lovewild Design. This daughter-mother-grandmother team of crafters makes sustainable home goods, gift boxes, and paper products. Think low-waste bath and body, fragrant candles, and responsibly made food products like tea. You'll also find books full of ideas for kids to play outdoors. Whether it's mom and dad or the little ones, everyone loves getting lost in their aisles full of books.
